Like every fan, I waited for a friend to get the album[in this case, My company buying off itunes] then proceeded to taking a copious dip into, as he called it, his soul. Maybe its just me, but Adekunle’s debut, sounds a tad bit claustrophobic, however, his ability to tweak sounds on some songs, gave rise to a few welcoming moments. I have been a huge fan of Adekunle Gold, a long time now, as he single handledly became the go to guy for therapeutic sessions. YBNL act, Adekunle Gold , quietly dropped his highly anticipated album, ‘Gold,’ yesterday, exclusively on iTunes. However, barely a day after dropping the album on iTunes, several music blogs, had the album uploaded on their sites for free download, an act the ‘Ready’ crooner, is reportedly vexed about. A twitter user, who cam across the illegal action by one of such blogs, tweeted at Adekunle Gold, suggesting that he take legal action against them, a tweet Adekunle Gold replied saying, they are on it and  thanking the fan for his suggestion.

Wizkid ‘Babanla’ has for months been on a mighty yet steady wave, which seem to only be getting stronger. From his feature on Drake’s ‘One Dance’ which made him the first Nigerian artiste to land the No. 1 spot on Hot 100 for Eighth Week straight, to his many collaborations with international acts, Wizkid, has proven he has no intentions whatsoever, in slowing down. Just yesterday, he announced that he just finished recording a new song with 15 times Grammy award winner, Alicia Keys, which already has everyone anticipating, only to bring fresh wave of excitement when a twitter user, some hours ago, revealed that Wizzy, as he is fondly called, has just collaborated with dancehall King, Sean Paul, a tweet, Wizkid confirmed.

The nominees for the 2016 edition of African Muzik Magazine (AFRIMMA) awards, have finally been announced. Top Nigerian acts like Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Davido , amongst others, have been nominated in the forthcoming third edition of the prestigious award which is set to hold in Texas, USA. The most talked about categories, ‘Best Male West Africa and Best Female West Africa’, has the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Olamide and Flavour battling it out, while pop queen  Tiwa Savage and mama Africa,  Yemi Alade, go head to head in the Best Female West Africa category. These categories, saw Davido and Yemi Alade, taking home the win last year. Award for the ‘Video Of The Year,’ has Flavour’s ‘Champion’,   Emma Nyra ‘s ‘For My Matter’, Phyno ‘s ‘Fada Fada’ and Korede Bello ‘s ‘Romantic’ on the category list while, the nominees for the artiste of the year has the likes of Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Flavour, on it.
